Festival of Colors

Songs, dancing on the rhythm of dholak and mouthwatering Holi delicacies are the other highlights of the Holi Festival celebrations. Lovers too take opportunity of the festival and apply colours on their beloved to express love. This tradition has its roots in a popular legend that says mischievous Lord Krishna started the trend of playing colours by applying colour on his beloved Radha.

After colourful and exciting day, Holi evenings are spent in sobriety. People meet friends and relatives and exchange sweets and festive greetings. People in India believe that joyful spirit of Holi encourages the feeling of brotherhood in society and even the enemies turn friend on this day.
